Nick Montgomery joined Schroder SREIM in January 2012 from Invista Real Estate Investment Management Limited where he was Head of UK Commercial Funds and was responsible for managing the Company's portfolio. Previously Nick worked at Gatehouse Investment Management, managing the Westbury Property Fund and identifying and acquiring property assets with third party equity and debt. He started his investment management career in 1999 at LaSalle Investment Management managing institutional pension fund property portfolios.
Nick holds a BSc (Hons) in Estate Surveying from Nottingham Trent University. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and an FCA approved person.
Duncan Owen is the Head of Real Estate at Schroders and chairman of the Company's investment committee. Duncan was previously the CEO of Invista Real Estate Investment Management and managing director of the property division at Insight Investment where he was responsible for setting the strategy to grow the division.
Prior to this he was a founding partner of specialist boutique, Gatehouse Investment Management, being instrumental in establishing and developing the business. During his career he was also a partner at Jones Lang Wootton and a director at LaSalle Investment Management. Duncan studied at Insead Business School and is an FCA approved person and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Tony is responsible for the management and investment of the Continental European real estate funds platform at Schroders. This involves fund and asset management, resourcing, capital raising and business development. He is also a member of the Investment Committee.
Tony is Fund Manager of the European Real Estate Investment Trust and Immobilien Europa Direkt, a fund joint venture with Zurich, both of these investing on a Pan European basis.
Previously, Tony was Head of European Funds at Invista REIM, a €10 billion business, where he created the real estate fund management business in Continental Europe, opening an office in Paris and launching/investing four funds. At Invista he chaired the European Investment Committee, sat on the Management Board and also assisted in the launch of the Asian business.
Prior to Invista, Tony was a Partner at Fountain Capital Partners (now Cushman & Wakefield Investors) in Paris, joining at the founding stage with responsibility for segregated accounts and the growth of the business in Continental Europe. He has previously been a Director of Capital Markets at Jones Lang LaSalle in Brussels where he had been responsible for some of the largest real estate advisory transactions in the market.
Tony is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Investment Property Forum and an FCA Approved Person.
